This isn't a marketing page. It's me — Amanda — telling you why this brand exists, and why it has to.
Owning a business was always a dream — but it was one of those dreams you don't say out loud. The kind you keep in the back of your mind because it doesn't feel like something that happens to someone like me. I watched other people build things, launch things, take the leap. I told myself I couldn't. I told myself I wasn't the type.
I never thought I could actually do it.
Addiction and mental health have touched my life in every way you can be touched. Personally. Through family. Through friends. Through people I loved and people I barely knew. It doesn't matter where I look — it's there. It's been there my whole life. And I know I'm not the only one who grew up like that. I know because I hear it from people all the time.
It followed me everywhere. So I decided to follow it back.
This brand is not merch. It's not a side hustle. It's a testament — to everything I've been through, everything I've watched other people go through, and every single person who's been told they can't, they won't, they shouldn't try. Every shirt, hat, and cup we make is a small reminder that we made it to today. That's not nothing.
This isn't a clothing line. It's a reminder.
That's the whole point. If you're reading this and you're in it right now — if tonight is hard, if tomorrow feels impossible, if you're tired in a way that goes past your body — I need you to hear me. You are not alone. And you have more power in you than you think. Don't Slip isn't a brand. It's what I wish someone had told me at my lowest point. So I'm telling you now.
Thank you for reading this. For being here. For letting me be honest with you. I built Don't Slip because I had to — and because I know there are other people out there who needed someone to go first. So I went.
If this brand helps even one person feel less alone, it's done what it came to do.
